Callisto GTK+ Themes
Themes responsible for most widgets in a Callisto environment.
History
The Callisto theme began as a minor variation on Pakos' ClearlooksGray theme for GTK+ 2, darkening the primary shade of gray to something more neutral and easier on the eyes, adding an extra pair of scrollbar steppers (BeOS style), and making a few other minor adjustments.
When MATE and other GTK+ software began moving to GTK+ 3, the theme was recreated using MATE's TraditionalOk Clearlooks-alike theme as a base. It has since grown more intricate shading and beveling in accordance with Callisto's aesthetic goals.
Each Callisto theme includes both the new GTK+ 3 theme and the original GTK+ 2 theme in the appropriate colors, for compatibility.
Color Variations
Several elements of the theme use accent colors, including scrollbars, progress bars, checkboxes, and focus highlights. The themes' directory structure is arranged to make creation of additional color variations as easy as possible. Included color variations are:
- Ayame: The original Callisto GTK+ 3 theme, in bright purple.
- Paeonia: A range of pinks inspired by peony flowers.
