GTK+ uses (G_PRIORITY_HIGH_IDLE + 20) for redrawing operations, which is
actually a slightly lower priority than G_PRIORITY_HIGH_IDLE.  Therefore
for our purpose, G_PRIORITY_HIGH_IDLE is sufficient.
