EShellSettings predates GSettings and is no longer necessary.
GSettings allows binding GObject properties to GSettings keys,
with optional mapping functions. That fulfills the purpose of
EShellSettings.
Listens for "client-created" signals from its EClientCache. If the
newly-created client is an ECalClient, automatically configure its
default timezone from EShellSettings.
